Supporting Independence For All: Tackling Self-Help Skills In Young Children

As adults, we love to help and support children with getting themselves dressed, fed & toileted! How do we provide the “just right” amount of assistance where we are supporting their independence but also making sure they don’t get too frustrated because it’s too hard!? In this workshop, participants will learn how the person, environment, and task are contributing factors to independence. Participants will also gain ready to use tools to support a child with organizing, sequencing, and planning out the best way to complete these self help activities with confidence!
