Behavioural Coaching & Consultation
We see behaviour as communication. With curiosity and compassion, we look beneath the surface to understand what a child is really expressing. With connection and playfulness, we work alongside families to create strategies that support growth.
Our supports may include:
Strengthening Emotional Regulation and Resilience
Emotional regulation: short-term, plan-based supports to spot early signs, use body-calming tools, and lower the intensity and duration of dysregulation in the moment.
Resilience: long-term growth, practicing coping skills, building confidence, and developing flexible thinking so future stressors feel more manageable. Together, children learn to manage big feelings now and bounce back stronger over time.
Caregiver Empowerment & Support
Caregivers are central to change. We offer capacity-building (coaching, education on behavioral principles) and counselling-style sessions focused on caregiver wellbeing and problem-solving in daily life. These supports are designed to strengthen daily functioning, enhance personal development, and provide emotional support. They are not intended as treatment for acute mental health disorders or disabilities, and do not replace the role of Registered Psychologists or Mental Health Therapists.
Building Independence & Self-Awareness
We help children and teens know their strengths, needs, and sensory cues and understand how their actions impact others. Together we practice choice-making and executive routines (planning, organization, follow-through) to grow independence in daily living, schoolwork, and community activities.
Integrating Multidisciplinary Support
We coordinate with other professionals so strategies are aligned across settings. This can include joint sessions, goal-sharing, attending school or medical meetings, and translating recommendations so they’re realistic at home, school, and in the community.
Facilitating Impactful Behavioral Change
We work side-by-side with families to understand what behaviors are communicating, reduce triggers, and teach clear "what to do instead" skills. Together we build simple, consistent plans and tracking so progress sticks across home, school, and community.
Safe Management of Risky Behaviour and Crisis
We co-create practical safety plans, clear de-escalation steps, and recovery routines. Families learn shared language and roles, practice scripts and drills, and set up the environment to reduce risk and respond safely when stress peaks.
Supporting Social Success
We build the skills needed for friendships, teamwork, and positive participation in groups. This includes connection, perspective-taking, reading social situations, setting healthy boundaries, repairing after conflict, and feeling confident in both structured and unstructured settings.
Enhancing Family Relationships
We support families to reduce conflict and increase connection. Using collaborative problem-solving and clear boundaries, we co-design routines, roles, and communication habits that fit your family’s values and make everyday life feel calmer and more connected.
