Motor Skill Development

Motor skills typically develop in a particular order and at certain ages. Motor skills are needed to do so many important tasks and activities of daily living.

Motor skills include both large motor movements (gross motor) in the body (i.e. walking, running, jumping, etc.) and small motor movements (fine motor) in a person's hands and fingers to do things like use a fork, pencil and undo and do buttons.
